BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept Car
The 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show could see the debut of a production sports car based on the BMW Vision EfficientDynamics concept car, which could come to market as early as 2013. The car could even have an M variant.
According to BMW, this is a vehicle that previews tomorrow’s driving pleasure using today’s technology, blends ground-breaking efficiency with trademark BMW performance and shows just how captivation sustainable motoring can be.
BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics is as exhilarating as it is efficient, combining the performance of a BMW M model with the fuel consumption and emissions of a modern small car. It’s a near-production-ready vehicle whose integrated engineering concept features ActiveHybrid technology and takes BMW Efficient Dynamics to the next level. The results is a fuel consumption of just 3.76 litres/100 km and CO2 emissions of 99g/km.
A latest-generation BMW AcitveHybrid full hybrid with plugin technology. Powered by three-cylinder common rail turbodiesel and electric motor on each axle. And featuring the very latest in brake energy regeneration for recharging the 98 highly efficient lithium-polymer batteries during the journey.
